Ultrasound procedures will be performed on equine and small animals using an advanced ultrasound system with Doppler capabilities.  Cardiac, abdominal, and thoracic studies are performed on felines, canines and equine to diagose a number of potential pathologies.

The Doppler flow technology aids in the evaluation of the percentage of blood flow to a particular region.  Ultrasound is used to visualize specific problems in the equine extremity as well.

Anesthesia Monitoring

Cardell Monitor

The anesthesia protocols and equipment at Parker Road Veterinary Hospital were designed with the safety of our patients as priority #1.  We monitor all patients under anesthesia using Cardell Monitors that measure pulse oximetry, blood preassure, eletrocardiogram, temperture, heart rate, additionally our staff is monitoring respiratory rate, capillary relfill time and mucous membrane color.  We customize our anesthesia protocols based on the individual needs of the patient allowing many procedures to be done in office and on the literal "road to recovery" within hours.

Radiology

Canine XRAY

Digital Radiology (Small Animal & Portable Equine)

Radiographs, commonly referred to as X-rays, are an extremely useful diagnostic tool. With this tool, we can look into the body. Broken bones, pneumonia, heart disease, intestinal obstructions and cancer are some of the diseases that are commonly diagnosed with radiographs.

Pain Management

PrevicoxFamily  Our pets feel pain and discomfort under much the same circumstances as people. Arthritis, injury, disease and surgery can all require special attention. We offer many types of pain management tailored to your pet's particular needs.

 Preventative Care  (Canine, Equine, Feline)

Pug Face Our Veterinarians focus on preventive care, which allows for early diagnosis to reduce your pet’s risk of contracting serious, costly and sometimes fatal diseases. By partnering with you to make sure your pet receives proper vaccinations, parasite control, good nutrition and more, we can help your pet live a longer, healthier, happier life.

 Microchipping

   img_homeagainsaveslives

Microchipping your pet is recommended using the patended Bio Bond anti-migration chip by HomeAgain.  This chip provides your pet with a unique identification number via a microchip permanently stored beneath your pet’s skin. This identification number is then saved in our national database. This increases the chances that your pet will be returned to you if he is lost and loses his collar and tags. www.homeagain.com

Small Animal Dental Services

 Dental Before & After

Healthy teeth and gums are one of the best healthcare gifts you can give your pet. It’s important you follow your veterinarian’s advice on maintaining your pet’s dental health. Your veterinarian will help you develop a dental plan right for your pet, including professional dental cleanings, any necessary extractions, as well as diet, pet nutrition and recommendations for a good at-home dental care routine.
Periodontal disease can be prevented, treated and even reversed if caught early. Together, you and veterinarian can protect your pet against the havoc of periodontal disease, such as heart disease and kidney failure, by maintaining your pet's dental health.
